In response to a number of high profile disasters around the world, the Effective Disruption Management Seminar convened by the Stanford Graduate School of Business brought together main actors in humanitarian disaster relief operations to exchange ideas and share best practices on September 8, 2005 at Stanford. Representatives of government, the private sector and humanitarian relief agencies explored potential collaborations to enhance relief operations.
