International aid organizations encounter huge problems in delivering information in the developing world, particularly in remote and rural areas. In 2001, NetHope was founded as an information technology consortium to help NGOs share resources, skills, and knowledge on internet connectivity.

In this conversation, Eric Nee, co-host of Social Innovation Conversations and senior editor of the Stanford Social Innovation Review, interviews NetHope CEO Bill Brindley. Brindley, a former Wall Streeter, talks about NetHope's origins, structure, challenges, and goals in helping organizations establish basic technological needs all over the world.
